There are thirty different attack weapons in Exodus3000. Each weapon represents a different level of attack. Weapons come into use when a player decides to attack another player's homestead or settlements.

When a player attacks another player's homestead or settlements, the attacker's weapon level is compared to the defender's defense level. Which ever is greater wins the combat. If both weapon and defense levels are evenly matched, the winner is randomly determined.

When the attacking player attacks a homestead and wins the combat, he is rewarded with a random amount of Mars Dollars, withdrawn from the defending player's MD account, and limited to the amount of Mars Dollars that this player has. If the attacking player loses the combat, he will lose a random amount of Mars Dollars, up to 250 MD, to the defending player.

If an attack is successfully made against a settlement, the attacking player becomes the new governor of that settlement. If the attacking player loses the combat, he will lose a random amount of Mars Dollars, up to 250 MD, to the defending player.
