The seventh weapon upgrade available from an outpost. Thunderbolts, also commonly referred to as lightning, are generally identified as an element of the weather. However, over time some people have developed the ability to control thunderbolts and where/when they strike. Typically this ability is used with malcontent and can be deployed as a weapon against enemies.

It is difficult to call a truly destructive thunderbolt down on a specific location even for the most skilled, so the thunderbolt is usually less powerful then wished and provides as a less effective attack towards an enemy then many of the more versatile hand-held options.
