Radars are unlike any other upgrades; They only have 4 levels, and can potentially increase the player's Mars Dollar income. By mapping out the surrounding terrain, the player can see all volcanoes, ruins, settlements, or homesteads in his vicinity. The terrain mapping is done by showing the player the first letter of the terrain type surrounding him. With each radar level upgrade, the mapping range increases.

Radar levels can be purchased while playing the game, in outposts, using Mars Dollars, or purchased with real cash in the Purchases page, on the Exodus3000 website.

Unlike other upgrades, the radar level is not cut in half when a player cashes out.
